Terms of Service

CourierAssist is a marketplace platform that connects Shippers who need same-day deliveries with independent Drivers who fulfil them. We are not a carrier, courier company, or logistics provider ourselves — we operate the matching, dispatch, and payment infrastructure that Shippers and Drivers use to transact with each other.

As a Shipper, you agree to:

• Provide accurate pickup and drop-off addresses, and honest details about the size, weight, and nature of the parcel when booking a job.
• Pay the fare and any applicable fees in full at the time of booking.
• Never book a delivery for illegal goods, prohibited items, or anything a driver could not lawfully carry.

As a Driver, you agree to:

• Hold a valid driving licence and vehicle insurance appropriate to your vehicle, including Hire & Reward cover for carrying goods on behalf of others.
• Operate as a self-employed, independent contractor — you are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance contributions. Using CourierAssist does not make you an employee or worker of the platform.
• Handle parcels with reasonable care and complete accepted jobs in good faith.

CourierAssist charges a 15% commission on the driver's earnings for every completed job, and a separate 5% service fee added to the shipper's total at checkout. Both are disclosed before a job is booked or accepted.

• Cancelling before a driver has been assigned: full refund.
• Cancelling after a driver has been assigned: 50% refund.

CourierAssist operates the marketplace connecting Shippers and Drivers — we are not the carrier of any parcel. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the operation of the platform itself; loss, damage, or delay in transit is a matter between the Shipper and the Driver who accepted the job.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
